Does your mood dictate the music you play or listen to on the radio?

I tend to listen to all types of music all of the time. I do not think I listen to a certain type of music depending on my mood. The one thing I do is I will shut my radio off if I am having a bad day. This helps to clear my mind and give me fewer distractions while I am sorting thing the issue.

It depends on what type of music the person usually listens to. If the person always listens to upbeat happy music, and one day you notice that person is listening to some slow romantic stuff, that immediately gives you the idea that person is in love. Or if the person usually listens to commercial mainstream music, and suddenly starts to listen to dark underground stuff, you start thinking that person is kind of depressed or upset.

Maybe, I carefully select my music to cater my needs. If I am neutral, then I would just explore whatever I find on Spotify.

A person can tell my mood by the music I listen to because I listen to music based on what mood I'm in. If I'm sad I listen to sad music at first then I switch over to uplifting music to help lift my spirits. If I'm in a working out mood, I listen to fast upbeat music that will keep me motivated and push myself harder. Music is the best thing to listen to no matter what mood you are in, it always makes you feel better.

Most definitely. I try all the time to make sure that isn't the case but at the end of the day, the music I am listening to dictates the mood I am in. Music has a great impact on people's emotion that why its the one thing in the economy that continues to sell no matter what else is going on.

Most probably they can since I listen to songs depending on my mood.
Anyways, I can tell their mood by the music they are listening to. If its a romantic song, the guy listening to it is in love. If it's a sad song, s/he is having problems in their relationship.

Most of the time you can dictate the mood that I am in by the music that I play.

Yeah it is quite easily possible and you can check up their facial expressions when listening to those songs.Sometimes a high beat song and you can visibly see the excite on their face implying their reactions. If he is depressed he will look sunk and distraught...
SO yeah..songs do play a vital cog to determine the mood.

I think so. Whenever I'm in certain moods, I almost always listen to the same type of music, so it can probably serve as a good tell. I usually play classical music when I'm relaxed, dance music when I'm feeling hyped, and rock when I'm feeling aggressive.

The music I listen to almost never relates to my mood. I just like listening to good music, whether it's happy or sad or whatever. It has nothing to do with what I'm feeling like at that moment.

No one can tell what mood I'm in by listening to the music I'm playing. When I'm just chilling I listen to slow music as I read [I'm always doing that]. When I'm not reading or doing any other kind of work I listen to upbeat songs. By the way I don't have mood swings or that kind of thing. I'm generally happy.

Occasionally my mood will dictate what music I listen to, but usually I just play from a playlist that has a bit of everything, so you can't really judge my mood off of my music usually.

I find music influences my mood rather than my mood influencing the music I listen to, I find if I'm driving and listening to some steady rock I potter along at a nice pace, if I listen to some hard house or trance music my driving becomes much more spirited due to the BPM and upbeat nature of the music, R&B is played when they ladies are about and rap for when my rap friends come for a cruise.

My daughter can tell what mood I'm in by the music I play, because when I'm a terrible, hopeless mood ,I don't play any music at all and when I need a fight song with a "don't give up" message, I listen to boss battle songs from video games or martial arts movies.
When I'm in a normal, happy mood, I listen to a lot of dance music.
