Even the worst track (aside from STIW, obviously) on MMLP2 shits on all of Encore, most of Recovery, and a good amount of Relapse.

Your right, we know he tried his best, but his latest music he comes off like he isn't trying while he's rapping. It could be because he changed his flow, and voice, and doesn't scream which i miss

Dude, his screaming was the problem. Yelling on everything from a "GET HYPED" stadium track to a song about goofing off and doing drugs to a verse about tostitos, doritos, cheetos, and how "those are the only things he will feed hoes". The flow I understand, since it gets a bit choppy sometimes. But lyric-wise, it's a whole different level.

Relapse had the non-sensical forced rhyming and accents. Recovery had his stupid fucking wordplay and "pun"chlines, as well as pathetic production and generic youtuber hooks. And Encore just fucking sucked in every way aside from the production.

MMLP2 saw the return of Em's wit, use of funny and effective imagery ("Michaelangelo with a paint gun bout to explode all over the canvas"), dark yet funny humour (So Much Better), fantastic rhyming (Rap God and most of the other tracks), and wacky and funny storytelling (Love Game). But most of all, the one thing Em has been lacking for most of his last three albums: Self-awareness. He knows that he's nearing the end of his career, and he's willing to not only acknowledge and take advantage of it (Rap God) but even make fun of his age and inability to adapt to technology (So Far). And even though the punchlines and wordplay make a comeback, they're not the focal point of his songs and are much more subtle, serving only to make the songs better and more interesting. It's an 8 at the lowest and 8.5 at the highest. Points taken off for some stupid fucking lines (Toilets clogged, really?), choppy flow (mid-oc........tober) and that one stupid fucking song that should have never existed in the first place (STRONGER THAN I WAAAAAAUUUUS)

The production also deserves some credit as well. Rick Rubin makes some fantastic beats, and the ones he produces for this album are great and fit Em perfectly. The production in general throughout this entire album is fantastic, with the obvious exception of Alex Da Kid's overbearing trash can lid drum porn and DJ Khalil's obligatory generic guitar riff stadium track.

I agree encore, and recovery sucked, but i prefer relapse. but i also can relate with relapse because of my drug addiction.

I can understand how you might relate to Beautiful (though it is still a rather bad song) or Deja Vu (even though it's rather detailed and personal to Eminem), but everything else has NOTHING to do with Em relapsing. It's just Em fucking around in the booth. Not that that's bad, but I don't see how you could possibly relate to tracks like Stay Wide Awake, Same Song and Dance, or Medicine Ball. Most of the tracks either glorify drugs (in the spirit of fun) or are about serial killing.

Besides, most of the Relapse tracks have some of the most forced rhyming known to man. And his topics aren't exactly genius.

Monster's all right. It's supposed to be a little uplifting, but it doesn't deliver completely. I mean, it's better than the other Rihanna-Eminem collab at least.

That song is amazing! They always play it on the radio and people tell me to change the station, I just raise the volume. That song has a nice tone to it, however, I don't understand some of the lyrics thanks to my Humanities teacher going off about how this song is unethical and what not. xD

Why did he think it was unethical?

I personally do not know, he was an elderly Chinese guy with a horrendous accent, I couldn't understand much. But I think it was because he thought that Rap degrades society, you know how professors are, they always think they know everything.
