    Sportsmen Who Are Rappers?

I've heard Shaq rap songs and I didn't think he was such a great rapper. It appears that most people think being successful and/or famous gives them the ability to do anything they want. You've seen musicians cast in movies though they aren't great actors, right?

How many of you knew that Kobe Bryant took a stab at rapping and failed miserably?
Nas Claims Shaquille O'Neal Was A Better Rapper Than Kobe Bryant
That the two should even be compared reveals that Shaq's quality was not that impressive either.

Your thoughts? Should sportsmen just stick with doing what they do best?

Although i don't know any sportsperson who have been/are rappers,it just came across that they would be better off rapping too, like if they get stressed at one point, they have something to fall back on.Oh and if they lose one career, they jump to the other, its just the talent to juggle between professions

Hahahaha. I remember when Shaq use to rap and I recall a few years ago of Serena Williams taking a stab at rapping. In my opinion, they all need to stick with their first love that is playing sports. There's a reason why they are legendary in the field of basketball or tennis and not in music. Their talent is for sports.

I don't like when they mix over, they should be fully focused on their craft.

Yeah I don't like it when athletes try other things and just end up getting away from what they love and are good at. What's the point? Do it on your free time for fun, but that should be it.

Yeah, I heard something from Shaq, I absolutely hated it. He's not good at all. I never knew that Kobe tried it out too, or Serena Williams. I think it's the whole Hollywood community encourages them to try everything, and I guess they have the money to pay for studio and stuff like that. But it's not a good thing to switch over into music, even acting. Maybe a cameo here and there, but they don't have the talent for it, otherwise they would've been doing it already.

Shaq sounds like Rick Ross when he rapps, it is so funny. I think that atheletes that drift into music are doing it for their fans, so that they can identify with the fans on a different level.
