Any Progressive Metal listeners out here?

Hello guys, I'm a big fan of Progressive metal. I just love odd timings, syncopated beats, poly rhythms and other elements of progressive music. My current favorite bands are Meshuggah, Periphery, Intervals and Cloudkicker. I also listen to Mogwai, Pain of Salvation, Porcupine Tree and Tool. Their music is really complicated, but pleasing to the ear.
So, I'm kinda curious what you guys listen to. Do you guys listen to Progressive music ? If you do, What are your favorite bands? Comment below.

@mdemaz: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Dream Theater. IMO, they're one of the best bands so far. Everyone in that band is a pro in their own field. I miss Mike Portnoy though. Haven't listened to 90s Dark Angel. I'll give it a listen soon. Thanks!
@HomieOC: I listen to rap too. I'm currently listening to Logic.

It's amazing how many labels they put on the same music genre these days. When i started listening to metal, there was only heavy metal. Thrash metal, speed metal, black metal, doom metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal, classic metal or any other label, didn't exist. While that might be a cool thing, it really confuses me a lot. There are some old post-punk bands that now are labeled as something else, like shoegaze or something like that. I'm going to check that progressive metal stuff this weekend to see what is all about. I'm always looking out for new music.

@elmarianexx : Enslaved is tooo good. I'm a big fan.
@lomoS : Mastodon is good too. Haven't given a listen to Liquid Tension Experiment. But I heard, it's a side project of DT, I think it's great.
@Henry: Don't forget to listen to Porcupine Tree. I'm sure you'd love them.

Ill be sure to check them out. A big Pink Foyd fan told me about them not long ago, but i still haven't had the chance to listen to them. I'll check them out this weekend and let you know what i think.

Not really, but this post makes me wonder what i may be missing. I listen mainly to rap but i have a wide variety of tastes when it comes to music.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I have a wide range of music likes. I do love metal though, 'progressive metal' is not an exact term I have really heard of before. I saw someone mention Dream Theater, I used to listen to them all night long. I also really like Judas Priest and Godsmack, I don't think that's exactly the same genre but they are worth checking out if you don't know them.
