For me, any song that reminds me of someone evokes certain emotions in me, it may be happy, neutral or sad depending on my relation to the person and the things that happened to our bond in general. Nowadays, when I'm angry or irritated which I tend to feel a lot these days, I listen to any rock song, particularly those by Disturbed. The singer always sounds angry as well, so it suits my mood.

There are a couple of songs that make me cry. One of them is I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston. Once I heard it played at her funeral, it has made me cry ever since. The other is Heaven Can Wait by Michael Jackson. It is too hard to hear the song now that he has passed away. Another song by him that makes me cry is Gone Too Soon. He sang it for someone else, but now it can apply to him.

Just in general, I think country songs have to have the most emotion. It seems that there is always one that fits any situation I might be in at the time. That's why I cry in my beer when I listen to them. Thank goodness it's not very often!

For some reasons I really can't understand, but I get emotional whenever I hear Kathrine Mcphee's Terrified. I am not in a relationship, I am not even in love. But the melody and lyrics of this songs makes me feel scared about losing a loved one. I honestly don't know what's wrong with me. Am I getting older? lol..

Yelawolf's songs all seem kind of dramatical, too dramatical actually.

I would have to say eminem - mockingbird. I get chills when I listen to that song. Eminem is so good at putting emotion into his lyrics, I think that's what makes him as good of a rapper as he is. I seen a meme the other day on facebook that said tupac started the book of rap, eminem finished it, and lil wayne couldn't learn how to read it lol. Kinda random but I thought It was kinda funny.

Mike Oldfield - Nuclear, the song itself doesn't may seem sad. But once you read the story behind it and the artist, it will have you in tears.

This Modest Mouse gets me every time. It describes that deep loneliness really well I think.

Love songs do have the most impact on me. The heartfelt lyrics along with the passionate melody do make me very emotional. I even listen to them to do some unwinding and reflection. The songs just give me a reason and almost is never enough do really get me everytime i listen to them.

For me, Carissa's Wierd's songs evoke strong emotions, on any given day of the year. Every song is beautiful and passionate and makes me want to never stop listening. One of my favorites is Ghost Of A Dead Hummingbird Flying Around The Room. It's haunting and melodic.
