    Vampire, zombie, superhero movies

I think these vampire, zombie, Superman, Ironman, Hulk, Captain America, Spiderman, Transformers, Batman, Frankenstain, Thor, Fast and the Furious, found footage horror films type of movies are getting kind of old. I think it's time a different genre of movies start taking the spotlight. What do you think?

I love horror movies but I agree found footage and zombie jawns are played out. I wish people would dig deeper into religious lore and demons and make movies based on that. Like, why aren't there any decent horror movies based on Mayan gods and stuff that are decent or well researched? I thought that sinister was the best recent attempt at a movie like that. I don't believe in ghosts or demons or any of that in real life so I really enjoy movies like that. I am looking forward to the movie ouija though.

I love vampire dairies and every marvel comic but zombies, not so much. I cannot watch walking dead, the idea of zombies scare the hell out of me. I am fine with Zombies not taking the spotlight because apparently walking Dead is the new hottest TV show, which I hate.

I still think they can be good, but they need fresher ideas, pumping out the same plot line over and over gets irritating.

Well they have that new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie coming out soon, and for me this is like a dream come true as I was a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles geek when I was growing up. I know they already made movies about them, but this one looks pretty well made and modern day tech. But in your listings, I would never want to get rid of Thor like movies, Thor is the God of Lightning.

I'm just saying that every movie that comes out lately has something to do with the things i listed above. It's like if you're not into those things, you're pretty much f****d. I know that Hollywood allways go with the things that sell, but i think these type of movies are becoming like reallity shows, which is "everywhere, all the time, about anything." I'm not saying they're not entertaining or good, but sometimes even beauty can become boring.

I really liked the Resident Evil movies, even though they were pretty bad.

Zombie movies and Tv shows are Kinda played out. Try this show called Penny Dreadful. It's really a great show. It has that Gothic horror feel.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I love Zombie type stories, but the problem seems to be they are never done very well.
World War Z was the last one I saw, and that was just stupid.

Walking Dead started out well, but even that's starting to get dumb.

I would love to see a zombie type movie, where the zombies are justthat an actual zombie. Their strength comes from their numbers, not because they can run, or jump really fast.

Also a movie where the characters in the movie are not just totally stupid, ugh I hate it when someone would do something just retarded just so something can happen in the movie.

Zombie stuff was cool when it was re-introduced in recent films, but it's getting old since producers everywhere seem content to be squeezing a few drops from the same, and almost dry, sponge. Penny Dreadful is nice. At first I though it was another horror genre with a plot to match The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but I get a different feel when I watched it. It was pretty interesting.

World War Z is a great movie, somewhat heavy, but good entertainment.

I think that you're right... Those types of movies aren't bad, but they also aren't GOOD. I think that Hollywood should tilt more into making hard-hitting movies that comment on social ills with fewer special effects and less CGI. I am a big fan of European cinema because this is exactly their philosophy.
