Do You Like Your Lyrics Fast or Slow?

    Personally, I like fast lyrics.

Sure, the song is less-romantic when it's fast; but fast lyrics are better exercise for your mouth & your brain.

Mixture of both. That's what I like about Eminem and Royce da 5"9

Sing it hard, sing it fast, sing it the way it is!

Fast lyrics are more striking. Slow lyrics should be avoided if you don't want to fall asleep hehe

It depends who the artist is and what type of style they are expressing. I like both myself. I like show conscious rap and uptempo party rap.

Depends on the material of the lyrics, if it is something serious and deep, I prefer the lyrics to be slow so I can take time and absorb their meaning, but if it is a pump up song, then fast is the way to go, it keeps you up and awake!

I agree that it depends on the artist, beat, & everything that the song stands for..

Some of my favorite songs have fast lyrics and then the singer slows it down usually for the chorus or hook, just to really break it down. I like fast lyrics though because I like to be listening to a song that I've heard many times and say "Did you hear that?" after hearing a particular lyric I missed the first few times. Really layers a song and gives it some depth.

I like in between -- medium. I leave slow lyrics for soul and r&b. At the same time, a song can be really great if they have both speeds. But generally, I like lyrics that I can easily dance too with reggae-like movements.

Not too slow but not too fast, I like lyrics that I can understand but it also goes in time with the song, this makes it much more easier for people to dance with. Imagine trying to dance to a rapper going 1000 words a minute? you would look like a guy having a seizure.

I really like fast lyrics. However, slow lyrics can show an artist's style for the song or in general and gives them more to play with. If an artist is rapping really fast, they pretty much only have one one or two tones to say them. If they're slow, you can make some creative tunes.

I like that balance, little slow, little fast all the way through. I want to generally be able to sing along when i am alone in the car you know

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I am into either depending on who is delivering the lyrics. I do, however, have a limit on what's too fast. That world record sounding stuff you can't even make out isn't impressive to me or listenable. However, some of the faster stuff is actually really good and has a flow to it that doesn't sound too robotic that I enjoy.

As long as it grooves it's all good. If you wanna go HAM like Aesop then that's cool but you can just go slow too if that's what the song calls for.

I prefer moderate speed, but I'd listen to either as long as the song is good. If I had to pick, though, I'd lean more towards fast lyrics because I prefer songs to be more upbeat.
