Definitely! Whats better, driving to the cinemas and watching the movie with (potentially) annoying people or watching Netflix on your big TV with comfort?

Yes and no. I think there are still people that still enjoy the experience of going to the movies, but there's just no way that theaters can compete anymore. When you can get any movie you want for free with the Internet, you're just not going to want to pay $20 to go see a movie. I think they're not going to last too much longer.

Well, when I go to the cinema everyone's usually well behaved and no babies are screaming or whatsoever. Last week I saw Dawn Of the Plant Of the Apes in 3D, and it was pretty chill. No people messing about or anything, I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, the movie was pretty good by the way.

I'd rather go to the movies for the big screen. There is no comparison. If it's a mega-movie you can enjoy it immensely in a room with a giant screen plus professional surround sound. The trouble I see is there are plenty of movies which are no longer in theaters, so no other choice: you have to watch them from the couch.

Depending on the size of your home theater it can be a good experience too. But if it's still in theaters, it the big screen is recommended without a doubt.

Movie theaters are primarily for two things: having the best equipment that the average person can't afford, and creating a social area where you can take a date or friend and have something to do (it doesn't hurt that afterwards you can talk about the movie). Personally I find that going to the movies has a feeling that's different from watching at home, and sometimes I like to just get out of the house!

Well the movie has to be really interesting for me to actually go to the movies. If the price wasn't twenty dollars a ticket than I would probably go more often. I usually go with friends or family if I am gonna be going to the movies, other than that you are right. You can just get all the movies online these days.

I don't have much time to go and when I do it is usually a movie that gets lots of acclaim.

I usually go to the movies for the big blockbusters, like Transformers or a James Bond movie. I appreciate knowing that my seat will not get kicked, I watched a movie at home.

I don't really go to the movies unless there's something that I absolutely have to see and can't wait until it comes out, because everyone will ruin it for me. lol. Otherwise, I just don't bother.

I can't remember the last time I paid to go see a movie. I'd much rather be in the comfort of my own home where I can pause, rewind, pop popcorn, and so on on the cheap. Movie theaters have gotten too expensive and time consuming for me.

Unless it is something I absolutely have to see, which hasn't happened in almost a year I just wait. Movie tickets where I live are almost $15 each, add in popcorn and soda and you have another $20. Movies come out ondemand so fast now and are like $5 or so that going to the movies doesn't make sense.

Unless it is a movie i just have to go see, like Avengers 2 {can't wait}, then no i can download or wait till the blue ray comes out. It's like $50 bucks when you get done seeing a movie now. That's not even including dinner. I would love to see more drive ins pop back up. As a kid my pops drove us every weekend for the two for one deal. Seen a ton of movies growing up that way.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I barely ever go to the movies, but that's only because I don't really feel like watching movies so much. I could go much more than I do, but I never feel a desire to go. It's really fun to go, though, especially if you go with friends.
