Cool What Fan Armies Do You Belong To?

Social Media has made it possible for fans to get even closer to their favorite artists. It also has allowed artists to easily communicate with their fan base by opening a direct channel to them.

Billboard.com has launched a Fan Army Face-Off, which is a cool bracket style competition pitting fan armies against each other to see who is the loudest. They have already completed round 2 with Nicki Minaj's army hanging tough. Check out round 3.

    Fan Army: The Echelon
I knew 30 seconds to Mars would be on the face-off. They have some loyal fans. I have talked to people that went all the way to Australia for a concert that is loyal.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I don't belong to any fan armies. I just feel that they are a scorn to society becuase they cause people to become part of a mob and it relieves them of their individualism. It makes them part of a group which is a very dangerous way of living because when we are following the motives of a group we usually stop seing reason and forget about right and wrong and only about the motives of the group. I know fan-armies is a very innocent form of this, but it is at this grassroots level that the "mob" mentality is formed.

Meh. I have never been a "major" fan of any celebs. I might like some of their work, but I never actually "follow" them and try to keep up with what is going on in their lives. It just isn't my thing. I really think that it is strange that people become so loyal to a celeb while remaining largely apathetic to issues like the decimation of the bee population. Oh well.
