Well they say that Rock and Roll started music, but I am sure that isn't true. I like all kinds of music, it doesn't matter what it is. Ok I lied, it does matter. I won't listen to Country, Bluegrass or Classical. I think it would be torture to listen to those, but most rock is alright.

Rock music creeps me out, especially hard rock, I think I associate it with some horror movie I watched when I was a kid. There was a hard rock concert going on and the music was super loud and some guy in a mask was slaughtering everyone. Haha, or maybe not, just don't enjoy rock.

Shit yeah love me some good rock and metal. Lots of good metal right now. Meshuggah and Opeth are always tight, and that Deafhaven album from last year be crazy.

You. You get it. Those guys are just legendary, man. It's crazy how I stumbled on them totally by accident. I haven't seen them live but damn, I'd love to. Just imagining a bunch of people jamming out to 40:1 just blows my mind!!!!!! Which songs did they play when you saw them? And which of their songs is your favorite. Right now mine is 40:1 although I really like Coat of Arms as well.

I honestly don't know why they aren't more popular... those guys just rock. Seriously, man if anyone hasn't checked them out... DO IT!

SO, Mdemaz, can you suggest any other rock bands that I might like given the fact that I like Sabaton's stuff?

Man, if I suggested you bands, we'd be here all night. I'm just gonna say check out Iced Earth and Attacker.

I can't remember what songs they played and I'll have to pick out a favorite song by listening to their albums now.

Rock is cool, I love Linking Park and Metallica too, but Metallica is not exactly rock, it's more heavy metal bala.

LOL I understand what you mean when you say we will be here all night. Thanks a bunch for the suggestions though, I'll definitely check out the guys you listed. Have you decided on a favorite song yet? I haven't actually listened to Sabaton's other albums... I really should. I listened to the song about that Swedish King, but it wasn't as "epic" as the other ones I liked on the WW2 Album. That pretty much turned me off checking out the other albums. I'll go back and find out if their other stuff works for me.

I like Classic Rock. There is plenty of new music that is not to my liking. I think we lost the best hotbed of new bands around the late 80s. Yeah not much good new music in this genre. It seems it is becoming harder to find the new great ones. I hope we don't remain as a group of musical dinosaurs. It's always good to get new blood in the scene, whatever the genre.

I love rock music, but mostly just bands like letlive. Pierce The veil, Bring Me The Horizon, and such. I don't know if they'd be categorized as rock though.

I love rock music. But everybody knows that it's a dying genre and nobody can do anything about it.

Cool. I have many CD's of those bands and I listen to them really often in morning, afternoon or evening (constantly).
My neighbors have a sad time with me, lol.

I listen to a lot of death and black metal these days. Just stuff that's loud and fast without being able to tell what the lyrics are. It helps me to calm down and I'm not sure why. Probably because it's just a lot of stuff going on and it gives me plenty to focus on so I can take my mind off of everything else. Plus, if you do know the lyrics they're generally pretty brutal and help to release a little anger.

Rock is great, but it's time has passed a long time ago. There isn't simply anything good recorded anymore. Too bad. Fortunately other genres are thriving, so I guess we have that to enjoy.
