Is it hard to learn hip-hop dancing?

I have always been interested in learning some hip-hop moves. However, since I have no dancing experience at all, I feel like this will be very tough. Do you think it is possible to be too old to learn hip-hop dancing?

I think that hip-hop dancing depends on how much of a fast learner you are in dancing. If you have been professionally dancing for a certain amount of years. I think you can still learn hip-hop dancing at your age, which again that depends on how fast of a learner you are in dancing.

It's pretty hard, but not that hard if you're devoted.

It looks that way prey which I can hardly dance myself. If you are determined to get somewhere with hip hop dancing then you would win.

It all depends on how much experience you have dancing. Someone who has some experience before starting here is likely to have an easier time than someone who is just getting their feet wet. That being said, it's never too old to try and learn something new.

I think it's both the experience you have plus the rhythm you have inside your body, some people simply don't have rhythm.

It is hard. You need to have full body control and quite the muscles to do it.

No one is ever too old to learn how to dance ,no matter which dance it is,, I believe as long as you are willing to learn and make yourself flexible, all is possible.

if you have no sense of rhythm yes it will be hard. some people are naturals, some people can learn and some people just cant fucking dance.

You're not too old but you have to know that you'll have to practice, everyday, for hours. Remember when we were kids and we'd practice one single board move for days? We didn't count the hours we'd put in, we'd just grind and grind to get that move down. It's the same with dancing. You just need to practice a lot. Of course if you have great rythmn and are limber, it's going to help.

You need rhythm. If you don't have that, than it will be hard for you. Unless you want to look funny and get laughed at. lol.

Depends on what you want to do with your dancing. If you want to be on a professional level then yes it ids going to be very hard for you but if you just want to go out dancing and not look like a complete fool then its fairly easy. Just do a two step it goes to every song and there is no way you could look silly unless you aren't moving to the beat. If you can clap on beat you can two step.

I am long time hip hop listener and I never knew there is such a thing as "hip hop dancing", I headbang, I listen to metal also and thats all I ever do and know. What like breakdance or something? I don't know, I don't get it.

I would try to learn a simpler style of dance first. Most forms of Hip-Hop dance can be pretty intense. If you try to go straight to Hip-Hop and aren't fully devoted to it, you could find yourself unwilling to keep trying.

If you have a even the slightest amount of experience in advance, you might not be discouraged right away, which could be really helpful in the long run.
