Social media networks like FB and Twitter have been doing well for quite some time now. This week however, Twitter stumbled:

"US stocks fell for the third time . . . as Twitter led a sell-off in Internet shares . . . Twitter plunged 18 per cent as about 480 million shares from insiders became eligible for sale"

Owing to the fact that a Social Media site could become unpopular [and lose money] when a better competitor comes along I'm not sure that investing in one of them social media sites would be the wisest decisions one would make.

All investments are risky but is investing in Social Media higher up on the ladder?
