My husband and I went to see Lynard Skynard last week and, boy, are they getting up there in years. They sounded good and the guitarists were really amazing, but I wonder how long they can keep going. We originally had tickets for ZZ Top, but they had to cancel because the bass player fell on the tour bus and broke his hip. You seriously can't make this stuff up.

I am kind of younger. I listened to 'Sting' back in the day and if there is some concert nearby of his I would definitely go. Skynrd is 1970s, before I was born.

I'm a huge fan of The Police and Sting! I've been to many concerts over the years, but I've never seen them/him. Skynard isn't really my thing, but my husband is from Texas, so he loves southern rock.

I think there comes a time when rock musicians, no matter how great, should retire. But being in the spotlight is an addictive thing and sometimes they just can't let go.
