This isn't even a close comparison at all, Tupac all the way!
I don't think there's anyone of that caliber around nowadays... Maybe Eminem?

I really hate both examples given and usually they are the first to come to mind if someone mentions the genre and different times but I'm not fond of either.

I would have to say that 2pac was the man and king of rap. Still is to this day you can play his music and it just like it was as if he was living. Lil Wayne no doubt is good I just think that both guys set the tone for the past time and the present time. But If I had to choose I would difintly say 2pac.

As far as Tupac vs. Lil Wayne, Tupac. Lil Wayne has some jams, but Tupac is a legend. His songs were stories. They were fun. There are exceptions, and there's a lot of music from today I like, but I find that music from today is too commercial. A large part of it is just about the money, the sponsorships, etc. The 90s music (and even earlier) was just about the music.

Well Lil Wayne did have some good moments in his rap career, but I think he's just gone mostly crap now. Tupac, on the other hand is a legend. His songs still get sung today and danced to, you can clearly see in his songs that his lyrics are the best of the rest.

Definetly not Lil Wayne, I think Wayne is trying too hard to be the king which we know is Eminem, but then after that is 2Pac, so Tupac atw!

Tupac for sure, he wasn't an attention whore like Lil Wayne. Some of the trash Wayne wears/does to get noticed is just getting annoying.

To be honest, I didn't really like 90's rap as compared to the beats and rhythm of rap music in the 2000's. I have a lot of respect for Tupac and I like 2 of his songs (Changes and I Ain't Mad Atcha), but I like a lot of Lil Wayne's songs more.

They're from different eras, sure, but I'd still go with Tupac.

There really is no comparison! Lil Wayne is talented & good with wordplay & metaphors, but he could never bring the energy, charisma, & impact Tupac did. Tupac is very multi-demisional & deep as well. After carter 3 Lil Wayne got weird & became an Illuminati slave. I don't think he can even express himself the way he really wants to now. Tupac would die before he would be controlled by this devilish Industry. Tupac influenced Lil Wayne & alot of other rappers to have better work ethic.

Tupac all the day. It ain't even Lil Wayne who's writing the songs.

You cannot compare them to each other. I cannot touch on this subject they are nowhere near each other.
